This exquisite instrument is a testament to Paul Reed Smith's dedication to tone and playability. As Paul himself states, the newest version of his guitar offers a highly musical and usable setup, allowing players to switch from a strong bridge pickup to a clear, "whoopy" neck pickup with ease. The mini-toggles and 3-way switch provide a versatile range of tones, from clear, spanky single coils to a full soapbar quality in humbucking mode.
Historically, Paul's Guitar has been a realization of Paul Reed Smith's latest discoveries in tone, following in the footsteps of the Modern Eagle. Every detail of this guitar, from wood selection to inlay design and pickups, has been specified by Paul. This model features a mahogany body with a maple top, a Honduran rosewood fretboard, and a nitrocellulose finish. The "Brushstroke" bird inlays and narrow pickup bobbins add to its unique aesthetic. Equipped with PRS's TCI (Tuned Capacitance and Inductance) treble and bass pickups, this guitar includes two mini-toggle switches that allow players to switch between humbucking and true single coil modes for both pickups.
