Collings has once again taken an iconic design and improved upon it. This Collings Guitars Statesman LC may feature the same body shape as the SoCo, however, it is very much its own animal. The trestle braces make for a bright and snappy guitar.
Compared to the solid wood semi-hollow models, the laminate construction sends more controlled information to the pickups, allowing Collings to use higher output electronics. This custom guitar features TV Jones Filtertron Pickups. The Filtertrons create a tone that is evenly balanced with the smooth response that many players look for in arched top electric guitars.
