The 2023 Gibson SG Standard '61 Faded Maestro Vibrola in Vintage Cherry pays homage to the original 1961 SG design, a model that redefined the solid-body electric guitar. This instrument features a solid mahogany body with the iconic double-cutaway shape, including the deeply sculpted body scarfing and signature double horns that make the SG instantly recognizable. Its faded vintage cherry finish adds a subtle, classic aesthetic that complements its vintage-inspired elements. The mahogany neck has a SlimTaper™ profile for fast, comfortable playing, and is topped with a bound rosewood fretboard featuring 22 medium jumbo frets and acrylic trapezoid inlays. A 12-inch radius fretboard and a neck joined at the 22nd fret provide excellent access for lead work.
